Doreen Hills is a Senior Clinician for the Complex Trauma Treatment Center, and leads our CTTC Northwest region. As a seasoned mental health professional with over two decades of experience, Doreen has dedicated her career to providing specialized, cutting-edge treatment for trauma and attachment disruptions. Doreen’s therapeutic approach is deeply individualized, holistic, and rooted in the belief that every person’s path to healing is unique. Her work focused on complex and attachment trauma incorporates a variety of modalities, with a focus on mind-body integration and utilizing advanced techniques like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), the Flash Technique, and EMDR-Sandtray to accelerate healing. As a certified practitioner in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), she also uses brain-mapping insights to tailor interventions to each client’s neurological needs.
Beyond her clinical practice, Doreen has served as the Vice Chair for the Colorado Board of Licensed Professional Counselor Examiners for the past several years. In addition, she is a lead trainer in the Northwest region for the Complex Trauma Training Consortium, training multidisciplinary providers on a variety of trauma-related topics. Her career trajectory was shaped by her early life in the Philippines, where she worked with orphans and various local communities. These experiences fostered her deep-seated belief in the power of community and the necessity of culturally sensitive care.
