Dr. Victor Labruna has extensive experience within the field of traumatic stress as a researcher, administrator, and clinician.
Dr. Labruna has been a Co-Investigator on two federal research grants, including a 10-year NIMH-funded longitudinal study of physically abused adolescents.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Labruna has developed substantial expertise in program and intervention development as Project Director of two National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) centers. He is currently the Project Co-Director of the NCTSN Treatment and Services Adaptation Center at Adelphi University, providing trauma trainings to residential programs and state juvenile justice systems.
Dr. Labruna is also an author of Structured Psychotherapy for Adolescents Responding to Chronic Stress (SPARCS), which he has helped to disseminate nationally by providing trauma-focused training and supervision to thousands of mental health clinicians across the country.
