Kevin Charles Smith

Mr. Kevin Charles Smith is a founding member of the Trauma Drama implementation and training troupe and contributed to the early development of the model.

An actor and educator, Mr. Smith has worked for decades with a wide range of populations, spanning underserved and high-risk communities including urban youth of color and incarcerated adults, to highly resourced communities including gifted and talented children and corporate groups.

Utilizing theatre and team building techniques to help all people more effectively navigate their lives, Mr. Smith was educated at the renowned Hollywood High School Performing Arts Magnet and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Mr. Smith has worked with the nationally recognized groups Rehearsal for Life and the Trauma Center, and has taught improvisational theatre and leadership at multiple Boston area schools.

As a motivational speaker, he frequently consults with businesses on how to improve customer service training for their employees. A professional musician, he is the lead singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist of Marie’s Children, a longstanding and well-known Boston-area rock band.
